Frequently Asked Questions
What is a site dumper?
A site dumper is a machine designed for carrying bulk material. With a similar design and function to a traditional dump truck, however smaller in weight and size to increase maneuverability on job sites. Typically, a dumper can carry a payload of 1Ton to 10Ton and can swivel and dump 180° (front, left and right). The load skip is generally in front of the driver console, however some models are reversible, allowing the driver console to swivel 360° with the option of having the loaded skip in front or behind the cockpit.
Who uses a site dumper? Common applications.
Thanks to their robust engine, high speeds, smaller size and all-terrain adaptability, a site dumper is crucial equipment on congested site or rough outdoor terrain or landscaped terrains. A dumper is proven equipment that moves bulk materials over short or medium distances within very little time.

What is the benefit of having a dumper?
- Move material 10 times faster
- Can transport heavy payloads over rough terrain or steep inclines
- Compactness increases maneuverability, making them user-friendly and easier navigation around worksites
- 180° Precision Dumping
- 2 Way Driving*
- Well-suited for work in restricted spaces, including tunnels and narrow alleyways if the driver has to turn around with limited space (360 swivel cockpit reduces the need to reverse
- Low disturbance to site’s grounds (if equipped with turf tires)
- Can carry a wide range of materials that are needed in infrastructure work, including rocks, gravel and even wet concrete. Ability to haul wet concrete can make it useful in preparing poured foundations for new building construction
- Ability to work both on and off road and under adverse conditions
- Great for working in conjunction with a skid steer or excavator
- Tremendous time-savings and therefore cost effective
*Only available with Reversible Dumper models
How long have dumpers been around?
Dumpers have been around for over 60 years. In the UK and Europe, a dumper can be spotted on most construction sites.
What are the differences between a site dumper & a dump truck?
Dump trucks need paved or relatively level firm roads to operate while site dumpers are designed & made to carry large loads on wet, rough & steep terrains. Unlike a dump truck site dumpers can dump loads straight, left or right.
Will site dumpers damage my lawn?
Site dumpers have articulating steering and are often fitted with wide floatation tires, making them very turf friendly for even golf courses.
How is a site dumper loaded?
Site dumpers are typically loaded by excavators or skid steer loaders
Why not move material with a skid steer loader?
Skid steers are great to move small loads over short distances while the 6 ton site dumper can carry 9 skid steer buckets loads over long distances much faster. eg. 100 skid steer trips can be done in only 12 site dumper trips.
